Barry Bonds found guilty

Barry Bonds
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The jury in Barry Bonds's perjury trial has found the former San Francisco Giants slugger guilty of obstruction of justice, one of the four counts brought against him, according to media reports late Wednesday. The reports indicated that the jury was unable to reach a verdict on the three remaining charges, all of which stem from his alleged perjury to a grand jury investigating his possible use of steroids. Prosecutors brought four counts against Bonds, including three of lying to a grand jury in 2003, in addition to the obstruction of justice charge. There was still no official word of the verdict from the courthouse.
